Let's run away together.
We’ll leave all the group chats,
We’ll start fights,
We’ll make all of them hate us,
So that way we can run to the forest
And no one will come looking.
Rest our bodies on the forest floor.
Let the calm deer cuddle up to us,
Like a warm cat on a rainy evening.
Let the bloodroot grow through us,
Like love through our hearts.
And let the moss wrap our bodies,
Like a hoodie fresh out of the dryer.
The soft forest floor will
Wrap us in a warm hug,
As we become one
with the orange leaves,
dead branches,
and the soft mushrooms.
